VLN

The VLN Endurance Championship is considered to be the most popular racing series open to both amateurs and professionals in Europe. Over 200 participants – from production-based compact cars to thoroughbred racing cars — go head to head in different classes at races lasting between four and six hours. The Schubert team claimed overall victory in the 2005 VLN. In 2006 and 2007 they won the Junior Trophy, and from 2008 to 2011 they enjoyed numerous class wins and podiums.

The team

The endurance races on the legendary Nürburgring are not for the faint-hearted. Team Schubert has been among the front-runners in the VLN for almost a decade now – and that trend looks set to continue. A team of 15 at the racetrack and up to 10 back at the workshop works hard to ensure the two racing cars are perfectly prepared for the drivers.

The drivers

All the drivers are BMW works drivers. They are supported by the Bavarian engine manufacturer. The BMW M6 GT3 cars are driven by two to four drivers, all of whom have already demonstrated their talent on the Nordschleife.

The cars

The BMW M6 GT3 first hit the racing scene in 2016. With its 520 PS and its V8 engine, it fulfils all the criteria to make it a permanent fixture at the head of the field.
